See detailsWhy the base matters
Most pavement fails from underneath
Middle Tennessee clay holds water. Water under asphalt softens the stone base, the base moves under load, and the surface cracks. By the time a pothole opens up, the real damage happened months earlier.
That is why we grade first, build the stone base to spec, proof roll it, and fix drainage before a single load of mix shows up. It is also why we will tell you when sealcoating is the wrong recommendation, or when patching a lot for the third year running costs more than resurfacing a section of it once.
You will get the reasoning along with the price. If another bid comes in lower, we will tell you what is different about it so you can compare the two honestly.

How a job runs
Five steps, in this order
- Step 01
Site walk
We come out, walk the pavement with you, and look at drainage, base condition, traffic, and the items an inspector would flag. No drive-by quotes.
- Step 02
Written proposal
You get scope, materials, depths, and phasing in writing, with options priced separately so you can see what is required and what is optional.
- Step 03
Scheduling
We set dates around your operations and confirm the weather window. Retail and medical sites usually run nights or weekends.
- Step 04
The work
Crews mark the work zone, keep access open where they can, and clean up daily. You get a contact who is on the job, not just in the office.
- Step 05
Walkthrough
We walk the finished work with you before we demobilize, and we tell you when the next maintenance step is actually due.

Answers
Common questions
How long before I can drive on new asphalt?
Usually 24 to 72 hours depending on temperature and thickness. In the heat of a Tennessee summer, give it longer. Asphalt keeps curing for months, so avoid parking a heavy trailer in one spot or turning the wheel while stopped for the first season.
When should new pavement get its first sealcoat?
Typically six to twelve months after paving. Sealing too early traps the oils that are still curing out and can leave a soft surface that scuffs. Anyone offering to seal a lot that was paved last month is selling, not advising.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. We come out, walk the site, and put a written scope in your hands. That includes depths, materials, and phasing, so you can compare bids on more than a single number.
Can you keep my business open during the work?
In most cases yes. We phase lots in halves or quadrants, keep fire lanes and accessible spaces clear, and run nights or weekends when the site needs it. We tell you which areas close and for how long before we start.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, and we will send certificates of insurance to your property manager, general contractor, or board before work starts. Ask and it is in your inbox the same day.
